Aspen Management Partnership for Health (AMP Health) works with Ministries of Health to build stronger leadership & management practices with a focus on supporting the expansion of community health systems in low and middle-income countries. AMP Health currently works in Kenya, Malawi, and Sierra Leone with the following key features:

AMP Health resides at the Aspen Institute as part of Aspenís Global Innovators Group and operates in partnership with GAVI, GSK, Merck for Mothers, Cargill Foundation, Office of the United Nations Special Envoy for Health, Pfizer, Sall Family Foundation, The Horace W. Goldsmith Foundation, USAIDís Center for Accelerating Innovation and Impact and Child Relief International.

AMP Health is a partnership that resides at the Aspen Institute whose mission is to build stronger leadership and management of community health programs within Ministries of Health. This partnership includes country teams from 3 countries in Africa, as well as Gavi, GSK, Cargill Foundation, Merck for Mothers, Office of the United Nations Special Envoy for Health, Pfizer, Sall Family Foundation, The Horace W. Goldsmith Foundation, USAIDís Center for Accelerating Innovation and Impact, and Child Relief International. AMP Health has established a core model, demonstrated a proof of concept in three countries, and is now poised for a new leader to enter a significant growth phase. The Director will report to the Executive Director of Aspen Global Innovators Group.

Leading this organization requires three distinct competencies:

  1. Fundraising prowess | drives $3- 5+ million/year in funding from private and government sources 
  2. Leading through growth | oversee and scale rapidly growing field operations and brand-building across the continent while maintaining deep in-country partnerships and impact 
  3. Influence and relationship building | The stature, connections, and orientation to serve as a champion to drive governments, funders, and NGOs to significantly strengthen their community health programs and build lasting capacity.
