Aspen Global Innovators Group

The Aspen Global Innovators Group widens access to health and prosperity for people living at the world’s margins. Our network of innovators brings overlooked challenges into plain sight, then creates programs, policies and partnerships to address them. Its breakthrough programs include: New Voices Fellowship, which brings expert voices from emerging countries into the global development discussion; AMP Health, which partners with Ministries of Health to support leaders and strengthen health systems; the Artisan Alliance, supporting the world’s most untapped start-up community; and Aspen Ideas: Health, a premier creative forum on health at the Aspen Ideas Festival.

Position Description

The Aspen Global Innovators Group is looking for a Program Manager with an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong desire to join a mission-driven organization with a global impact. The right person is an operational thinker, a communicator, a writer, and a team player. The Program Manager will support program design and development across the Aspen Global Innovators Group portfolio with a special focus on the Aspen Ideas Incubator and the Healthy Communities Fellowship, and implementation of the communications and branding strategy across all programs. 

Core Responsibilities 

Program Management

  • Drive integration of existing Aspen Global Innovators’ programs to maximize impact and resources,   while creating coherency for staff, participants and all stakeholders.
  • Manage the Aspen Ideas Incubator program, including the call for ideas and selection process, agenda planning and facilitation, event logistics and materials development, budgeting, grant reporting, and communication with all participants and stakeholders. 
  • Manage the Healthy Communities Fellowship program, including leading the application process and selections, logistics and planning for 2+ annual trainings, grant reporting, budgeting, communication with fellows, partners and media, and all materials development. 
  • Support new business development for the Aspen Global Innovators Group and launch of emerging programs, including proposal writing, program design, workplan development, and communications. 
  • Support Executive Director and Managing Director in the implementation of the overall program strategy.

Communications

  • Support Executive Director and Managing Director in branding and communication strategy for all Aspen Global Innovators Group programs, spearheading the process and working with marketing consultant
  • Lead development of communications assets, including event planning templates, contact database, newsletter design and printed materials.
  • Design and maintain the Aspen Global Innovators’ website.
  • Design and execute VIP engagement strategy.
  • Write and edit content-rich blog posts to highlight the work of Aspen Global Innovators Group.

Required skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • Branding and communications expertise
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and switch gears quickly 
  • Strong attention to detail; event management and project planning skills 
  • Ability to work productively both autonomously and with a small team
  • Great leadership and interpersonal skills
  • International experience is strongly preferred
  • Commitment to building breakthrough solutions to overlooked global challenges
  • Extensive experience with Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop and InDesign; Salesforce; Squarespace;   Mailchimp; Microsoft Office; photography skills a plus

  •  Supervisory Position
  •  Has budget authority
