About the Finance Leaders Fellowship
The Finance Leaders Fellowship (FLF) launched in 2016 as a two-year action-oriented fellowship that inspires high-performing leaders across the Finance ecosystem to work toward solving the most complex challenges the industry faces.  Each year, FLF supports classes of 22 leaders to engage in a thought-provoking experience of personal exploration – to move beyond success to a place of having an impact. Beyond the opportunity for deep introspection, the leadership impact venture process propels Fellows to turn thought into action. We require each Fellow to develop and launch a venture as an extension of their fellowship journey. Fellows identify whitespace areas of opportunity where they can use their leadership in the finance industry to apply market-based solutions to effect positive societal impact on industry challenges.

Job Description Summary
The Finance Leaders Fellowship is focused on the future of the global finance ecosystem and the leadership that is required today to create a more sustainable and equitable industry.  If you want to help write the next chapter of purpose-driven leadership and work on a highly visible portfolio, come join our team for the summer.  If you have a demonstrated interest at the intersection of the industry and societal impact or have a passion for this space, this internship opportunity will be the chance to define and evaluate how leaders are taking action and amplify the collective impact FLF has worldwide. 

Essential Responsibilities
The Finance Leaders Fellowship Intern will provide project-based programmatic and research-based support for the FLF team.  Primary projects will focus on the Fellow leadership venture portfolios and examine where and how Fellows make an impact on the finance industry and society more broadly.  

Support the FLF team on key projects that support the Fellow venture impact portfolio:

Market Research and Analysis

  • Conduct global market landscape and industry analysis to develop an overarching guide to map Fellows’ venture initiatives according to latest finance industry trends and verticals
  • Evaluate Fellow leadership ventures to understand where Fellows are focusing their ventures and how to categorize them according to market map
  • Translate data and analyses into an external narrative that shows the collective impact the fellowship has on the industry
  • Create venture case studies for placement on website, reports and other collateral

Venture Presentations at Seminar

  • Support team to prepare Fellows for venture presentations during June and July seminar sessions, including session format, pre-calls, and presentation materials
  • Support the creation of personalized forms and agendas for fellows during Seminar

Knowledge, Education and Experience:
Ideal candidates will possess the following traits: 

  • Demonstrated interest in leadership development and societal impact in the finance industry
  • Responsible, proactive, and trustworthy individual who enjoys taking ownership of projects and being accountable for their results
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Salesforce is a plus
  • Highly detail-oriented
  • Ability to multi-task, work on various projects at one time and excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Graduate or MBA student preferred

This is a paid internship with a minimum requirement of 30 hours per week with option for additional hours. Preferred time commitment is June through August, though can be flexible to the academic calendar.
