Aspen Management Partnership for Health

The Aspen Management Partnership for Health (AMP Health) works in partnership with Ministries of Health (MoH) across Africa by strengthening leadership and management capabilities to accelerate achievement of the shared goals of Primary Health Care, Universal Health Coverage, and the health-related Sustainable Development Goals. We place private sector professionals within Ministries of Health for real-time training and facilitation, tailor leadership and management coaching for individuals and teams, and collect and share cross-country learnings.

 

AMP Health currently operates in Ghana, Malawi, Sierra Leone, and Zambia, with plans to expand into additional countries. Partner organizations include the CRI Foundations, Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, Gavi, GlaxoSmithKline, Horace W. Goldsmith Foundation, Merck for Mothers, the Office of the United Nations Special Envoy for Health, Pfizer, and USAID.

Position Description

AMP Health is looking for a Program Coordinator to join the team and play a critical role in their next phase of growth. The right person will spearhead the coordination of all program and communication activities. In this position, you will have the opportunity to learn about global health, gain experience working on projects across multiple functions, and work with an innovative team to support AMP Health.  

 

Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  •  Preparing all meeting materials
  •  Event management, including travel logistics, accommodations, material preparation  
  •  Finance, accounting, and contracting administrative tasks
  •  Management of social media accounts
  •  Desktop research as needed
  •  Scheduling meetings and calendar management as needed
  •  General support for program staff in a variety of areas

 

Required skills and experience:

  •  Bachelor’s Degree and 1-2 years of relevant experience
  •  Strong attention to detail; experience with event or project planning a plus
  •  Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and switch gears quickly
  •  Strong written and oral communications skills
  •  Ability to work productively both autonomously and with a small team
  •  Great interpersonal skills and a desire to always keep learning
  •  Some international experience is strongly preferred
  •  Commitment to building breakthrough solutions to overlooked global challenges

  •  Non-supervisory Position
  •  No budget authority
