The Society of Fellows (SOF) is a national community of diverse and distinguished leaders who sustain and support the values-based work of the Aspen Institute. Position Description: This SOF intern supports the front-line fundraising team in their stewardship and cultivation efforts through a variety of key responsibilities, including communications with SOF members, event coordination, assistance with special engagement projects, and data entry and other administrative functions.

Internship details:
• Hours per Week: 20
• Duration of internship: one year minimum

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Data Entry: Recording and updating contact and personal information, and logging meetings, phone calls, etc. in Salesforce (NPSP).
Research: Add and update SOF member biographies in NPSP.
Donor Correspondence: Outreach to donors via phone and email to obtain their current contact information.
Special Projects Support: Responsible for research and coordination associated with special stewardship projects or events in support of the program mission as directed by supervisor.
General Assistance: Provide general support to the team on cultivation and stewardship efforts and other special requests.
Knowledge, Education and Experience, and Skills:
• High attention to detail with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with various team members on multiple projects at once.
• Strong ability to quickly master new software and systems.
• Team player with ability to work well independently and with others.
• Exemplary customer service skills when interacting with donors or other external parties.
• Keen sense of personal integrity and discretion with handling sensitive information.
• Ability to represent the Institute to high level donors in a positive, knowledgeable and professional manner.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office software and Salesforce preferred.
• Experience in customer service or development preferred.

The Institute has implemented a mandatory COVID vaccination policy for all employees who will work at one of our physical locations, attend any of our in-person events or travel on behalf of the Institute. Staff unable to be vaccinated may request an exemption under certain circumstances.
